Greetings!

Hey, you made it! Thanks for stopping by to show interest in my bucket list. I made a list of ten items I thought seemed realistic enough to fit in this category, and why they made the cut. Scroll down just a little bit more to see the final product!

The Official, Realistic List

  1. Memorize All Of the Presidents In Order

After having recently finished APUSH, I now know more about the country than I ever thought possible. This includes the presidents, and all of their weird (and sometimes slightly illegal) shenanigans, as well as the policies they brought to their office that impacted the country's citizens. I successfully have the first eight memorized. Only thirty-eight more to go!

  2. Get My Master's Degree

The more I think about this one, the more I realize how lazy I am. Thinking about doing more school right after working four years to get a degree seems tiring in my early twenties, but I'll try to persevere I suppose when the time comes. The ironic thing is, I want to be a teacher. I know private schools don't necessarily require a degree or certification in education to become a teacher, but the idea of being a Master of Education seems appealing.

  3. Successfully Plant Flowers

I do not have a green thumb whatsoever. I like to mention this as one of my fun facts every time I have to share something about myself during an icebreaker, because it's one of my favorite facts about myself. I prefer fake flowers to real ones, because I do get sad when the flowers die. When I try to save them, I only end up speeding up their deaths in the end. One day, however, I would like to plant my favorite flowers (pink carnations) and have them be able to thrive.

  4. Make Pasta From Scratch

All over Tik Tok, I've seen Italians and Non-Italians alike making pasta with their intricate machines and nothing more than eggs, flour, and salt. My favorite food is pasta, or anything Italian really, so one day I would like my own machine and cook an entire Italian meal with only ingredients to start with. I am a good baker, so I would like to expand my areas of cooking.

  5. Study Abroad

During college, I would really like to live and study in the United Kingdom for a semester. There are a few particular places I would love to visit, and I really am ashamed of how much I would like to have the accents that they have. There are some home-cooked British meals and cultural tendencies that seem really interesting, so to be able to live there for just a little bit is a dream I very much would like to live out.

  6. Buy a Truck

I once told my friend I dreamed of living somewhere urban with a southern twang, and they jokingly described me as a "city girl with a country soul" because of my love for country music. Ever since, that nickname has stuck. A truck is my dream car, and I would like to have a Chevy, a GMC, or a Ram. I'm preparing to save up enough money to buy one I've had my eye on for some time. I might as well put my Venmo here if any generous soul would like to donate: @jasminewaite.

  7. Get a Tattoo

My mother does not particularly like this one. I don't plan on getting anything outrageous, and I hate large tattoos. I would like mine to be small and hardly noticeable. Overall, I plan to get three: the sun, a song lyric, and my future husband's initials. The sun I would like on my ankle, because, as I mentioned, the sun is one of my favorite things and almost always lifts my mood. The lyric is "fear is just a chemical" in a song called "Hearts" by Mali Koa, and I plan to get it on the right side of my ribs. Lastly, I would want my husband's initials written in tiny letters on my index finger, and I plan on asking whoever they are if they will get it as well for me, but I understand if they do not want to. However, I do have a low pain tolerance, but I try not to think that much about it. I would rather dive in and not think of the fear.

  8. Learn To Drive a Stick Shift

One of my close friends in South Carolina has a stick shift Chevy Camaro and I swear it is one of the coolest things I have ever seen, which also adds to how cool my friend is. From being in the car and seeing him drive, it is a skill I would like to possess that hopefully in the process would give me cool points as well.

  9. Drive a Boat

The last time I went to see my friends in Hilton Head, South Carolina, my friend Ian had just recently gotten a boat his family had bought. He told me he would let me drive it. However, on the day of, we encountered so many obstacles (water patrol, getting stuck in the sand, thunderstorms) that he had to be captain the entire time, because I had no idea what to do. Hopefully, when I go back in a week, he'll let me at least hold the steering wheel.

  10. See My Favorite Band In Concert

Five Seconds of Summer is a band I have not stopped listening to for quite some time now. My parents didn't want me going to Chicago with just my friends, and they did not want to come either. I'll have to wait till I'm in college to see them on tour, but it will be worth the wait. They have amazing music and their concerts are extremely engaging, so I'm willing to wait a couple more years to see them live. I highly recommend their music, and check out their new album on September 23rd!
